Apple Menu Items folder

The Apple Menu Items folder is a folder inside the System Folder of a Macintosh running the Classic Mac OS. It has appeared since System 7, when the Apple menu was open to customisation.
Items frequently inside the folder:
- As of Mac OS 8, recently used applications, documents and servers
- Remaining DAs
- Apple utility programmes
- A link into the Control Panels folder, or a submenu showing control panels
